The project consisted of interior renovations and an addition to the existing athletic facilities at Thomas Central High School to provide adequate space for the athletic program and better access to the locker room for all users, males and females.
The renovated area consists of approximately 7,500 square feet and included the following existing spaces: Weight room; Equipment room; Training room; Locker room and Coaches’ offices. Existing mechanical and electrical systems were modified to accommodate new spatial configuration. All interior finishes were updated to provide a uniform appearance for the overall facility.
The addition consists of 2,800 square feet and is directly to the south of the existing athletic area of the high school building. A new HVAC system is provided to tie into the existing system. The new additions' construction system matches the existing building and consists of a metal frame with concrete masonry block and brick veneer.
“BFB was an excellent partner in our project. They were very professional and organized and quick to respond. I enjoyed working with them and hope to do so again in the future.”
